As you can see from the image above, the Shark’s bin is found in the middle of the main vacuum body.When the release button is pressed, the bin flips down from a hinge (on the right hand side of the image), allowing dirt to fall into a bin.. For this reason, it’s vital to hold the vacuum so that the dust falls.

The bin system is quite sudden and sharp, so failing to position the vacuum correctly could cause dirt to be sprayed over the surrounding floor..Instead, it appears that most of its production has moved to China.
Some assembly of specific products seems to still take place in the USA, but it’s unclear exactly which components are manufactured in America and which are built internationally..
